ArtDinner – A Social Highlight of Southeast Mallorca
A culinary delight and feast for the eyes, ArtDinner offers great food, tasteful wine, exciting people and a friendly atmosphere making for unforgettable evenings. Seated at a single long table, surrounded by its backdrop of interesting art, attendees are warmed both by fireplace and feeling through a wonderful 5-course meal.
With new pieces for every dinner, the backdrop consists of work by artist and entrepreneur, Pola Braendle, one of the ArtDinner’s two hosts, who as well exclusively offers a new piece for sale at half price every event. Often the frequent host of such dinners among friends in Berlin, Pola has sought to replicate this ideal on Mallorca since moving here 1 year ago, and is now proud to announce its launch, and thus far, complete success.
The concept of ArtDinner comes from a belief that art is best enjoyed with a full belly, wine in hand and surrounded by good company. A long sought dream for Pola to combine her two passions-art and cooking-she found a willing partner in Dagmar Wintersteller, the proprietor of a 400 year Finca now beautifully converted into the Son Vent Hotel in Cas Concos.
After a year on the island, Pola’s dream resurfaced in her mind and she took hold of opportunity as exhibitions of her work at Son Vent were met with success, and the strength of its proprietors as hosts and cooks became apparent. The two women united, ArtDinner now consists of a 5 course meal incl. welcome drink, wine, water and coffee or tee for 39 €. Taking place every Friday at 19.30, the exclusively few 10-16 seats every week require a binding registration as much as a week in advance, or with a minimum of 3 days notice if space remains.
