The language of Majorca is a dialect of Catalan. Although Majorca is only a small island, each town also has its own distinct dialect.
Here are a few useful words, the local Majorcans are always polite and a greeting and handshake (or a kiss) is the order of the day.

Good day - Bon dia
Good evening – Bon vespre
Good night – Bona nit
Good bye – Adéu
Fines demá - See you tomorrow
Hello - Hola
Please – Per favor
