Most of the population of Mallorca, on Sunday 30 October 2005, seemed at some time during the day, to be in Porreres, a small town in the centre of Mallorca. The police had made arrangements for the parking of 5000 vehicles but by midday this was filled and overflowing on to the main roads leading into the town, an estimated 10,000 people visited the Ecological Fair in Porerres, the tiny streets of the town hosted hundreds of stalls, many offering artisan, organic or local Mallorcan products of the area, also there was several kilometres of fairground, as with most local fairs on Mallorca, there was something for everyone, and although the day was one of the last days of October it was hot and sunny with clear blue skies, almost like a day from the middle of August but without the overpowering heat..
